Double The Fist is an award-winning Australian action-adventure comedy series, produced for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) by Fistworthy Pty, aka. creators, writers, directors and stars Craig Anderson, Doug Bayne, Bryan Moses and Tony Waters. While the first series aimed at parodying the rise of reality television and extreme sports, the second series took the form of a comedy-drama about the show's star and creator Steve Foxx and his mission to destroy "weakness" forever. Weakness referring to laziness, past-times, relaxation, hygeine, compassion, manners, water-sports, the internet... and medieval recreationists. Series 1 was broadcast in 2004, series 2 in 2008.

In December 2007 I noticed on the official website that the makers of the show were looking for volunteers to work on the second series, and with nothing better to do than to complete a BA (Hons) degree, I signed up. A month later I received an email from director Bryan Moses (Rodd Foxx) asking if I wanted to do some music for their series finale - a grand showdown between Steve's Fist Army and the local Medieval Re-enactment Society; effectively the comedy version of Lord Of The Rings. I agreed, and with the assistance of the in-house Fist Band (Pete Condello and Milo Taylor), created a piece of music that can only be described as Howard Shore meets AC/DC. The episode was broadcast on Thursday 9th October 2008 on ABC2, and Friday 10th October 2008 on ABC1.
