Following a 2004 performance by Fast Lady, lead singer Gareth Finney (aka. Sebastian J Falkstaff) and I struck up a creative partnership that has resulted in a number of projects, alongside his colleagues John Tomlinson, Paul Dobson and Arthur Scott, known collectively as Bubblegunner Recordings. Initially this resulted in some Mixomatosis bootlegs of tracks from Fast Lady's first album, The Money Shot for V/Vm Test Records.

Fast Lady and Scorpio Scorpio - Love Dictator: The Remixes

At the end of 2009 I promoted and organised a competition to collect, as well as the release of, a series of remixes of their 2007 collaboration with Scorpio Scorpio, Love Dictator, for Digital Vomit. The release comprised of a re-release of the 2007 7" single Love Dictator/United In Rock, a digital release, a limited-edition CD-R and cassette single. The releases featured remixes by:

The Abominable Mr Tinkler / ANE / The Colonel / Meep /
Mockstar / Pilchard / Shanks Pony / Solypsis / Subsonika

The winner of the contest was Mockstar, who (supposed to have) won a place on the CD-R, a certificate, a bespoke bottle of blue piss called WKD and a jar of chutney. His remix also gained favour from former members of British electropop group The Human League. The series was released on New Years Day 2010.

More at Digital Vomit

Fast Lady - We Ate Rock

I have assisted in the production and release of the long-awaited second album by Fast Lady, We Ate Rock. The 16-track album, including live favourites Guns, Women And Bikes and Oradoh The Horse, is due to be released on El Perro Rojo Records in February 2011.

Fast Lady - Unsheathed & Penetrated

I contributed a DJ Cattle Hammer remix of Penetrator to this maxi-single, supporting the new album on El Perro Rojo Records. The EP also features a remix by Mockstar, who became involved via his contribution to the Love Dictator project.

DJ Cattle Hammer - Outdoor dentist

A number of Bubblegunner artists (all coincidentally the work of one G. Finney) "collaborated" on a remix for the forthcoming CD-R/digital single on Mother Popcorn. The team included Machine Rock, Sharp Tools and The Colonel.

Fatigued Owl album

Following their appearance on 8 Track Remind, there is ongoing discussion to release a full album on Dead Air Tapes, though there is currently no timescale for this release.

Dr Dobrovolski album

There are also plans to release a "best-of" album of Paul Dobson's solo material on Dead Air Tapes, later in 2011.
